๐บ Subscription Cost Calculator
List out your streaming, music, cloud storage, and other subscriptions to calculate your combined monthly and annual cost. Handy for getting a clear picture once you've accumulated several subscriptions.
How to use
- Enter the name, price, and billing cycle (monthly or yearly) for each subscription you have.
- Click "Add" to add more rows for all your subscriptions.
- Your combined monthly and annual cost is calculated automatically.
How the calculation works
This tool adds up your subscriptions on a common monthly and yearly basis. Monthly plans are added as they are, and yearly plans are converted to a monthly figure by dividing by 12. The yearly total is the monthly total ร 12. Video and music streaming, cloud storage, software and news apps are each small, but together they add up. Seeing the yearly figure makes clear how much you spend and is a good prompt to cancel services you no longer use.
Worked example
Streaming A: ยฅ1,490 a month Music B: ยฅ980 a month Cloud storage: ยฅ12,000 a year (ยฅ1,000 a month) Monthly total: 1,490 + 980 + 1,000 = ยฅ3,470 Yearly total: 3,470 ร 12 = ยฅ41,640 Cancelling the ยฅ1,490 service alone saves ยฅ17,880 a year.
Things to be aware of
- Yearly plans are often cheaper than monthly ones, but may not be refunded if you cancel part-way through.
- Services paid through app stores or carrier billing are easy to miss, so check those statements as well as your credit card.
- Everything you enter is calculated in your browser and is neither saved nor sent anywhere.
