How to use
- Enter the meeting's date and time, and the reference city (time zone) they're set in.
- Use "Add city" to select the other cities you want to check.
- The corresponding local time in each city is listed automatically.
How the calculation works
Pick a date and time in one city and see what date and time that is in other cities. It starts with 10:00 today in Tokyo and shows New York, London and Sydney. Conversion uses the world time zone data built into your browser (the IANA time zone database). It checks whether daylight saving time is in effect on the chosen date, so the same โ22:00 Tokyoโ can be an hour different in another city depending on the season. Times just after a daylight saving switch, such as 3:30 on New Yorkโs spring-forward Sunday in March, are converted correctly.

A meeting at 22:00 Tokyo on Thursday, September 24, 2026 New York: 9:00 September 24 (daylight time) London: 14:00 September 24 (summer time) Sydney: 23:00 September 24 Los Angeles: 6:00 September 24 The same 22:00 Tokyo on November 12, 2026 New York: 8:00, London: 13:00 (both back on standard time) Sydney: 0:00 November 13 (daylight time has started, so the date changes)
Things to be aware of
- A comfortable meeting time usually falls between about 8:00 and 20:00 local time for everyone. For Tokyo, New York and London together, there is almost no time that is daytime for all three.
- The US, Europe and Australia switch daylight saving time on different dates. Check meetings in March and OctoberโNovember with the exact date.
- A time that does not exist because of a daylight saving switch (such as 2:30 on the switch day) is treated as an hour later or earlier.

Does this account for daylight saving time?
Yes. It converts based on each city's actual time zone rules for the specific date entered, including whether daylight saving is in effect.
What happens if the date changes in another time zone?
If the time difference pushes a city into the previous or next day, that city's card correctly shows the adjusted date.
How is this different from the World Clock tool?
