How to use

How the calculation works
Enter a title, start and end, location and description to make a QR code that adds the event to a calendar when scanned. The code holds event data in iCalendar (RFC 5545), the standard calendar format: BEGIN:VEVENT SUMMARY:Title DTSTART:20261001T190000 DTEND:20261001T210000 END:VEVENT Times are written without a time zone (โfloatingโ local time), so they are saved as-is in the scanning deviceโs time. Any \ , or ; in the title or description is written in escaped form (such as \,).

Things to be aware of
- Because times have no time zone, someone scanning in another country gets the same clock time in their own zone. For international events, write the time in the description as well.
- Scanning does not save the event automatically; the calendar app asks for confirmation. Some phones need a QR reader app.
- Repeating events (such as weekly meetings) are not supported.
FAQ
What happens if I don't enter an end time?
The QR code will still be generated, but some calendar apps may treat the event as having only a start time.
Will this work with any calendar app?
Yes, it works with most calendar apps that support the iCalendar (.ics) format, including Google Calendar and Apple Calendar.
Does it support recurring events (e.g. weekly)?
No, this tool only supports single, one-time events.
