How the calculation works
Enter a Wi-Fi network name (SSID), password and security type to make a QR code that connects a phone just by scanning it with the camera. The code contains a string in a fixed format: WIFI:T:WPA;S:network name;P:password;H:false;; If the name or password contains \ ; , : or ", a \ is added in front so the value is not cut off when read. Network names in Japanese and other languages work too. The password is used only inside your browser and never sent anywhere.

Things to be aware of
- Choose โWPAโ for WPA2 and WPA3 networks. WEP is old and insecure; use WPA2 or later if you can.
- If the network name is hidden (not broadcast), turn on โHidden SSIDโ.
- Anyone who sees a printed code can get the password. For visitors, a separate guest network is safer.
