Enter at least your name to generate a QR code

Enter your name, phone number, email, organization, website, and address to generate a QR code that lets anyone add you to their contacts by scanning it with their phone's camera. Useful for printing on a business card or exchanging contact info at a conference or event.

How to use

  1. Enter your contact details โ€” name, phone, email, and so on.
  2. Check the preview of the generated QR code.
  3. Download it as SVG or PNG to use on a business card or digital card.

How the calculation works

Enter a name, phone number, email, company, URL and address to make a QR code that saves the contact to a phone just by scanning it (vCard format). Everything stays in your browser; nothing is sent anywhere. The code holds a string in vCard 3.0, the standard electronic business card format: BEGIN:VCARD VERSION:3.0 FN:Taro Yamada TEL:090-1234-5678 EMAIL:taro@example.com END:VCARD The characters \ ; , and line breaks are written in their escaped forms (such as \;) so they are not mistaken for separators.

Worked example

Print it on the back of a business card so people can save your details on the spot. The more fields you add, the finer the code becomes. For a business card, sticking to name, phone and email keeps it easy to scan at small sizes. The standard camera on iPhone and Android offers โ€œAdd to contactsโ€ when it scans the code.

Things to be aware of

  • On a business card, 2 cm square or larger scans reliably.
  • The name is saved as the display name (FN). To split it into family and given names, edit the contact after saving.
  • Posting personal contact details in public places exposes them to anyone. Consider where you display the code.

FAQ

What is a vCard?

A vCard is a standard file format for electronic business cards. When scanned, most phone cameras will offer to save the contact directly.

Is my information sent to a server?

No โ€” the QR code is generated entirely in your browser, and your information is never sent anywhere.

Can I print this on a paper business card?

Yes โ€” download it as SVG for print-quality output that stays sharp, suitable for a business card or shop card.

Is this useful for exchanging contacts at a conference or event?

Yes โ€” just show the QR code for someone to scan and save your details, handy if you're out of physical cards or want a contactless exchange.

Do I need to fill in every field, like address and company?

No โ€” enter only the fields you want, such as just your name and phone number, and the QR code will include only that information.
