How to use

How the calculation works
Pixelate (mosaic) the whole image. The block size can be set from 2 to 64 pixels. How it works 1. Shrink the image by the block size, averaging the colours in each block 2. Enlarge it back to the original size without smoothing Each block ends up as a single colour. The number of blocks is the image width divided by the block size, so the actual block width can differ slightly from the value you set.

Things to be aware of
- Pixelating only part of an image is not supported. Crop first or use an image editor for partial masking.
- Light pixelation can sometimes be partly reversed by image processing. To hide personal information reliably, cover it with a solid block.
- Processing happens in your browser; the image is never uploaded.

What range can the block size be adjusted to?
From 2 to 64 pixels โ the larger the number, the coarser the mosaic effect.
Can I pixelate just part of the image?
No, the current version applies the mosaic effect uniformly across the whole image.
Is my uploaded image sent to a server?
