Automatically calculates Japanese riichi mahjong scores โ just pick the han (yaku value), fu (fu points), whether the winner is the dealer, and ron or tsumo. At mangan or above, a fixed score applies regardless of fu.
How to use

How the calculation works
Choose han, fu, dealer or non-dealer, and ron or tsumo to calculate the points for a win in Japanese riichi mahjong. Base points = fu ร 2^(han + 2) If base points exceed 2000, or the hand has 5 han or more, fixed limit values apply. Mangan 2000, haneman (6โ7 han) 3000, baiman (8โ10 han) 4000, sanbaiman (11โ12 han) 6000, yakuman (13+ han) 8000 Payments (each rounded up to the next 100) Ron: base ร 4 from the discarder for a non-dealer win, ร 6 for a dealer win Tsumo by a non-dealer: each non-dealer pays base ร 1 and the dealer pays ร 2 Tsumo by the dealer: each of the three others pays base ร 2 A warning is shown for han/fu combinations that cannot occur (such as 1 han 20 fu).
Worked example

Things to be aware of
- Some rules round 4 han 30 fu (7700 non-dealer, 11600 dealer) and 3 han 60 fu up to mangan (kiriage mangan). This tool does not.
- Honba (300 per counter) and riichi sticks on the table are not included.
- Chiitoitsu is always 25 fu and pinfu tsumo is always 20 fu; other hands round fu up to the next 10.
FAQ
Why can't I select fu sometimes?
At 5 han or above (mangan and up), the score is fixed regardless of fu, so the fu input is disabled.
How is the score calculated?
Base points = fu ร 2^(2+han), capped at the mangan base (2000) if it exceeds that. From there, ron pays 4ร the base (6ร for the dealer), and tsumo has non-dealers pay 1ร the base each and the dealer pay 2ร (or all three pay 2ร if the dealer wins) โ each payment individually rounded up to the nearest 100.
What fu values can I choose?
20, 25, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, or 110 (25 fu is used for specific hands like seven pairs).
