➗ Math Quiz
1 + 1 = ?
A mental math trainer with randomly generated addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division questions. Pick a difficulty and build your calculation skills while tracking your score, streak, and number of attempts.
How to use
- Choose a difficulty (easy, medium, or hard).
- Enter the answer to the question shown and submit it with Enter or the "Submit" button.
- After seeing whether you were correct, press "Next question" to continue.
How the calculation works
A quick arithmetic drill: questions appear one at a time, you answer, and they are checked. Correct answers, attempts and your current streak are tracked. Questions by difficulty Easy: addition and subtraction with 1–10 Medium: addition and subtraction with 1–20, plus multiplication from 2 to 9 (the times tables) Hard: addition and subtraction with 1–100, multiplication from 2 to 12 and exact division Subtraction never goes below zero, and division always comes out to a whole number.
Worked example
Easy: 7 + 5 = 12, 9 − 4 = 5 Medium: 18 + 7 = 25, 6 × 8 = 48 Hard: 73 − 29 = 44, 11 × 12 = 132, 96 ÷ 8 = 12
Things to be aware of
- A few minutes a day improves the speed and accuracy of mental arithmetic.
- The streak resets to zero after a wrong answer; correct answers and attempts keep adding up.
- Medium is a good level for children practising their times tables.
FAQ
What changes between difficulty levels?
"Easy" is addition and subtraction from 1-10, "Medium" adds multiplication within a 1-20 range, and "Hard" includes division (always evenly divisible) along with a wider overall range of numbers.
Can a division question have a non-whole-number answer?
No, division questions are always generated so they divide evenly, so you never need to worry about decimal answers.
How does the streak counter reset?
A single incorrect answer resets your streak to 0. Your score and total attempts, however, keep accumulating regardless of right or wrong answers.
